Re: Colored Usernames?
I have a feeling that I don't speak for everyone when I say this, but I really like the idea. Besides being stylistically cool, it would also make it slightly easier to avoid mixing two people up.

Well if it's too tough to encode thanks for trying at least, I'm just curious if we'd be able to have the option to do it.Originally posted by Valkysas View PostVery possible. But it would be very annoying as well.
Yes, and it could add to each member's uniqueness a little bit. :POriginally posted by Wavelength View PostI have a feeling that I don't speak for everyone when I say this, but I really like the idea. Re: Colored Usernames?
I think he meant it as annoying to see everyone in lime-green names or other stuff like that. Not really that it's that hard to encode, as I think Vbulliton has had the feature forever. We have avatars, signatures, etc. I think that's more than enough.Originally posted by Cloudnumbers View PostWell if it's too tough to encode thanks for trying at least, I'm just curious if we'd be able to have the option to do it.

Re: Colored Usernames?
It's not built in that I know of. I've never really checked, but either way, I know how to do it, and it'd be easy to do.
But I think it would be really annoying.
and here's why.
- Biggest reason - We have two main style sets. one bright, one dark. This pretty much guarantees that whatever username color would look good on one style set would make your eyes bleed on the other.
- Bonus reason 1 - Some users would undoubtedly use the feature to hide their usernames, making them the same color as one of these style sets.
- Bonus reason 2 - Someone would just have to be really annoying and make their name into a rainbow mess.

Re: Colored Usernames?
i agree with valk it would be anoying but it would also allow you to express your style and as wavelingth said it would allow us to tell each other apart
overall though i think it would not be a good thing mainly becuse everyone would say turn there name bluish gray and it would be almost invisible.

Re: Colored Usernames?
Our usernames, icons and sigs aren't good enough?it would allow us to tell each other apart"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."
