Seriously...why do I play this? (Post games you like playing but aren't "good" or "pro" at and I guess, talk about why?). My reason is I dig Vergil. I try to imitate his "I don't care but when I get there, I'm gonna cut you down" thing. It doesn't work all that well... If you watch the video and only want to see the part where I play, it starts at 4:08, so I'd wait for it to load.

Dragon Age: Origins (360) but mostly because I insist on playing Hard...that "no AoE damage from ally spells" on Normal difficulty is lame.

Dokapon Kingdom. My friends get so lucky in this game, and they usually get a head lead and stay that way the whole game. But the game is so addicting and you always have options and strategies you can do, so you're never truly "out of the race".

Plus, the trash talking. It's always a fun game with trash talking.

Ha, Rick, I think I was too busy focusing on "okay, why can't I do my Judgement Cut move or his rapid slash", forgetting that I was starting a new game, he lacks the versatility that Dante has in many ways. At the same time, Vergil's regular combo is all about setting yourself up for that final slash. It's best to get as many enemies as you can inside it.

When I did that taunt in the center of the room, I usually follow it up with that dashing slash move (which I didn't have), mostly because it looks so cool with his taunt:

Taunt: "You shall die....!"
Dashing Slash: "...Scum!"

I'm surprised you didn't ask why I didn't pick up that shining item on the ground in the second area like, the three times I run to it. That's most embarassing part of that vid. Ice I haven't heard of that game

No offense, Dallas, but I'm not even sure what game that is. Granted, I didn't click the video. I'm guessing it's DMC 2 or 3 or something. Sometimes, it's helpful, though, in one of your two posts when you make a topic to state the name of the game.

I would add Demon's Souls, but I really don't suck at that. Just am impatient some of the time.


EDIT: Also, 1ce...I didn't know anyone else even owned that game. Now I just need a few friends.

Nah...I have friends, but something tells me, playing Dokapon Kingdom would not be high on the list of priorities when we hang out.

And I'm awful with QTEs in some games. I don't know why. You'd think if you were good in some, you'd be just the same in others with them, right?

Smash. I wasn't good at Melee, and I'm not good at Brawl. But I enjoy them anyhow, because really, how could you not? Of course, this is one reason I'm a big proponent of items being on, as a good portion of my rare wins when playing with my friends come from items. The others came from when Dr. Mario showed up with his prescriptions....for pain! His absence in Brawl hurt my record severely; for whatever reason, I just can't hack it with regular Mario. Only the Doctor.

Of course, in general I suck at fighting games, because I don't have the patience or interest in learning all the crap needed to get good. Smash is just one of the few I enjoy in spite of that.

Oh, also, Red Alert 2. And again, RTS games in general. For some reason, it just seems to take me longer to do everything in these games (especially in Starcraft, I don't think I ever even managed to beat the computer in a straight skirmish). But I still have fun with it, especially when I'm almost completely wiped but we don't have short game on, so I can retreat somewhere and wage a guerilla war with conscript-occupied buildings and those surprisingly tenacious War Miners.

I'm pretty good with strategy games...like you, its the fighting games I'm terrible at. Smash Bros series is another one I could tack on that list, as easily as I get the crap kicked out me. It's only fun with other people though in my opinion. Speaking of fighting games...Marvel vs Capcom 2...

Puzzle games. I don't really feel I'm as good at them as other games (though I may be better than I think). I'm decent at Tetris, but anything else is tricky for me. And yet I like them.

Ha, I got this last year, and although I haven't played online, I'm sure it would result in murder for me. I remember being decent against the computer as a kid, mostly by randomly mashing buttons (it's not just a clever name for this type of fighter, after all, sometimes it literally is what a lesser player like me will do), but now even the CPU guys whale on me.

And of course Smash is only fun with other people. Pretty much true of any fighting game, and doubly so for that one and its multiplayer craziness.

i would say just about any MP FPS, but i think the biggest culprit is TF2.

I play games with friends or a regular server 2-3 times a week, and my KDR is usually less than 1, but i never get tired of playing it.
