    PlayStation Move

So now we know a lot more about the PS3 motion controller, including it's official name PlayStation Move.

It'll release in multiple packages including a starter pack with Move contoroller, PS Eye, and a game for "under $100."

It still basically seems like a more accurate Wii remote. It's even got a nunchuck! called the Sub-Controller.

And it's own sports minigame compilation with swordfighting, table tennis, archery, and frisbee golf. How much you wanna bet that's the game that'll be included in the starter pack?

What a crappy name. It's like they want it NOT to sell.

should be around the same time the force feedback and analog control fads end.

I think it's going to be a while. It's pretty much a given that the next Wii will be motion controlled, maybe the next DS as well. And I'm sure Sony and Microsoft will use theirs to extend the life of PS3 and 360. When the "core" gamers move on to the next generation they're going to re-market the old consoles with the focus on "casuals." I wouldn't be surprised if there are more PS Move and Natal games developed after the next-gen starts than there will be during this one. But the good news is that means PS4 and the NextBox won't need to carry the fad over.

Games that make a good use of the motion control are great, but the fact that for every 1 great one there is 1000 horrible crappy ones.

It looks like this is the control system that Lair and Folklore could have benefitted from.

Have there been any major releases in the past year and a half that made good use of motion controls?

You're only basing this on the Wii. Something tells me Sony's approval process will be a bit more stringent than the "Official Nintendo Seal."

I like motion controls when done right.

It'll be nice to see how developers take advantage of it with more advanced tech than what the Wii offers.

for advanced tech, it sure likes to lag and ignore user input.

of course it's alpha software, but for it's first public demo, it should really be working better than that.

I'm still very excited for it.
