Re: The first video game you ever played.
Some Atari 2600 games, I'm not sure they all had names. Pitfall was one of them, that I sucked at.
Some mid-80s arcade games too, probably Pac-man or some racing type-thing. I was too young to remember a "First". Spy Hunter was one of my favorites. So you're a fish out of water...
Keep swimming.
What else can you do?

Re: The first video game you ever played.
My first home console game was actually Pong. My first arcade game was most likely either Space Invaders or Asteroids. My first home console game that used interchangeable cartridges (ie-not Pong) was more than likely the Atari 2600 version of either Defender or Superman, which my aunt had given to my grandma one year along with the Atari system. My grandma obviously never played it, and it, along with those two games and a few more, were subsequently passed down to my brother and myself a year or two later.
EDIT: I actually managed to beat Pitfall at least 3 times, once even being eligible for the send-away patch which I never sent away for.Last edited by Perversion; 10-05-2009, 10:35 PM.

Re: The first video game you ever played.
How are you guys even able to remember your first game? I remember the first game I've owned was Super Mario Brothers, but I have no idea what the first game I actually played was. It may be that game or something else, I'll never know.PSN: KingJamos
Add me... I'll wait.

Re: The first video game you ever played.
I remember it well, because it was a pretty big moment for me.
actually, I didnt first play the mario/duck hunt version. that's just the first game I owned. first I played was the standalone super mario bros.
I dont think I even knew what the hell a video game was. my cousins got an NES. we went over to their house. and I was like "this is the greatest thing ever". I then proceeded to run over into the first goomba over and over and over.
I was five. it was 1987. eat me.
My sister and I didnt get our own NES until the "Action Set" with super mario/duck hunt came out in 88. my mom and dad would keep me and my sister up late at night with the noise of them and their friends playing mario and duck hunt.
