    Favorite gaming-with-Pavvies moments

    1. Playing Team Fortress 2 as a Medic, the gate had just opened at the start of the round and Mora was standing there playing a Sniper trying to pick off the defending team. Now usually in team based games I'm very serious about winning to the point I sometimes become a jerk, but in this situation I couldn't help doing something goofy... I ubered him. Naturally this is a complete waste of uber, but I found it very entertaining when Mora actually charged into the middle of the battle, as a Sniper, with his temporary invulnerability. Suddenly it occurred to me how foolish it was to follow a Sniper into battle, so I ran back and left Mora to get blown up by enemies.

I'm sorry I did that to you, Mora, but it was funny.

    2. Staying on the topic of Valve games, I thought it was a lot of fun when we pulled off a Left 4 Dead versus game made up of just Pavvies and some of Hito's crew. I think the fact that we let the teams be completely randomized made the experience extra special, even though the game ended up a blowout.

    3. When I first started playing WoW in the vanilla days and Fushigi found my level 10 or so character and gave me four very useful bags (mooncloth maybe? I don't remember exactly but they had lots of slots and were way beyond what my hadn't-even-visited-the-auction-house-yet ass could get on his own). I don't think I fully appreciated the gift until I tried playing an alt and saw what it was like to level up with the small bags you're intended to have. Oh, and just before she gave me the bags VanillaIceT met up with me too, but all he did was duel me with his character that was twenty levels higher then mine, so he can fall off a cliff for all I care.

    4. Serge and I staying up until 3 or so in the morning waiting for Street Fighter 2 to be released on XBL and then almost instantly going to bed because it was a crap port.

And for the record, I believe the first person from here that I played a game with was Garr in Call of Duty. He may or may not had been aim-botting.

Oh, lordy. The Starcraft crew has several stories and replays available.

I think L4D should happen a lot more before L4D2 steals all the thunder. Still gotta try Crash Course!

Metal Gear Online was fun at first but gradually got stinky as headshots and lag ruined everything.

We had a Smash Bros. Brawl night a week or so ago and it was AWESOME. }:3

Initial days with Jspace, Nixon, Marc, Jehuty, Gouki, Fushi, and all the others that played FFXI. Most notably the send-off parties we had as you each left one-by-one. I still remember the fireworks party at the secret beach! Also the GREAT RACE! That was a hoot n'a half.

Smash Bros. is fun every now and then!

Phantasy Star Universe, as we all quickly discovered that the game sucked ass! Despite that, it was still a memorable and enjoyable romp.

      Staaarrrrcraaaaaaaaaaaft. :3
      ...and that's why.

Oh, it got worse from there.

CQC your own team mate with a lagswitch. One player is freely able to run around killing everyone easily because they can't be seen or shot at, because on everyone elses screen that player is still being held by their team mate safely at base. Their solution? Temporarily turn off friendly fire, but this also screws people who want to save their team when caught in magazine traps or smoke grenades with a roll.

Death Looping. When you kill someone, shoot at their heads just before they respawn, and that person will die instantly when they respawn. Giving you a free kill.

It took Konami almost a year to even acknowledge that people were glitching here in the NA servers. In fact, when videos and other info was brought to a member of Kojima Productions over at the japanese MGO forums, the developer was surprised because they had no idea this was even happening.

Tons of videos and pictures submitted, and their service has just been poor. Glitches never fixed, NA support site practically neglected, cheaters caught multiple times given only temp bans, and simply adjusting little things for the game.

Japanese MGO gets so much more support and info and other events from the developers, a lot of people bought the stand alone copy of jp MGO.

Because of these problems, and Konami's ID system that they themselves admit doesn't work well is also making the MGO community shrinking badly. Be lucky to have 2500 people playing automatch or free battles. Meanwhile, I hear jp MGO servers are constantly packed and they don't have as many cheaters.

For regular weekly events where you earn in game currency for new gear, they get twice the amount of Survival and Tournament modes to earn more points, and NA server only has one on each scheduled night. And the whole schedule for these modes is stupid because not everyone can make those times. Also, with all the cheaters, you'll hardly make anything because you'll be losing all the time.

They made it so the automatch servers give out points too, but it's very small. But no one really plays that because most of the time when a Host is doing badly, they quit and the match starts all over. Any kills you made to increase your skills and rank ect are all lost. What should be matched up quick now takes 5-10 minutes just to find a small group of people to play with. Or sometimes it times you out saying it couldn't find anyone to match you with.

I still play a little MGO now and then because I love the game so much, but Konami really needs to do something to fix this game.

Holy crap, glad I quit when I did.

Yeah, Japanese developers don't seem to give a **** about online play. I was surprised as **** to get Brawl working.

playing L4D with Mora and Magus, and I think some random annoying kid said that Mora (I think) "sounded like a ***."

also, Brawl with Mora and Magus. one of us was Lucas, and one of us was kirby, and we kept doing "PK FREEEEZE" at each other.

I'd really, really like to play more games with you guys. But I get all... shy.

Basically, all people can do now is glitch back.

Watch when this person dies. The other team waits a bit before shooting.

And in this one, the person is killed through a wall by a guy being held down by his partner.

I'd be happy to play with you sometime if you'd be willing to try something more intense than Normal difficulty.

There were always some cool moments back on Monster Hunter on the PS2 with Gloomy, Gouf, and somebody else who I dont remember. Besides that Ive only ever played a little bit of GOW2 a few times with you guys, and that crappy space shooter game that was free for a while on XBL. Me, Ryner and Mora played for a bit.

I wish there was one cool game that we could all get into, and consistently meet up to play together. :"(

Contantly killing Jeroak in Champions Online.

People getting mad at me for using Ivysaur in SSB

That was great. We lost but we sang/whistled "always look on the bright side of life" so it was okay!

I'd be up for some L4D/TF2; just add me on steam.. Though unlike Magus, I am actually really excited for L4D2.
