Has anybody sold anything on Craigslist before? I put my 360 on there yesterday and have gotten three replies so far. One seemed to be a legitimate offer, one a guy asking if he could trade various things instead of paying money, and one was saying they'd pay by paypal and would include $100 for me to ship it to them in Nigeria. Yeah, I'm sure that's legit.

I buy and sell all sorts of things on Craigslist all the time.

I hate it when people want to trade bull**** for my goods. No, I'm not going to trade you an iPod for some binoculars. I put this thing up to get money.

Avoid that Nigeria one. Scams.


Just use a little common sense and some sound judgment, and Craigslist is just dandy.

I met up with a girl off Craigslist a couple days ago and got a Synth off of her. We made the deal outside of a book store. She was pretty. I have her email and phone number and sometimes I think about contacting her because I'm a creep.

I use Craigslist almost every day, and I do well with it because my BS detector is top-notch. There are alot of scams. If someone isn't willing to come to my place and make the exchange, it's a no go.

My biggest complaint is that every time you sell something you get at least one email from someone that will give you a long lecture about how little your stuff is worth and you should let them have it for a ridiculously low price because you'd be lucky to sell it at all, just to get your asking price the next day anyway...

craiglist is just too ugh for me to use for any reason.

The only replies I ever end up getting are robots that want me to go to their psudeo-porn site.

I've heard never to use PayPal because of a scam where the buyer can get the item but claim to not have received it and then get his money back.

EDIT: On a related note, I'm not sure if it would be a good or a bad idea playing poker with Ryner if he is unaware of the direction the money is flowing.
