So what marks this decade? Cell phones, internets, dubya, wars in sand, turrism, emo? It's hard to say while we're still in it, but we're getting towards the end here.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to say "the 00's" without it sounding stupid and silly, apart from maybe the 2k's.

I'd say this was the decade of internets and nostalgia, what with web 2.0 and all the franchise revivals in every form of media imaginable since the start of the new millennium.

I'd say it was the technology decade, where everyone saw some old technology lying around, be it a videogame system or TV, and said, 'Hey, we can 1-up that!' And the LCD was born.

RPGD kinda stole my answer. For me, the 00's are about re-hash, where everything imaginable was brought back from the dead, and art and originality were scorned.

There were exceptions, thank god...like Harry Potter, and um...
