    1 vs 100

I couldn't find the older topic, but tonight I might have won 960 points.

    I know I won 160 definetly.

and the top 3 players god a free download of braid, which is fine with me since I didn't want it. Anybody else play and win something?
Find a dog, honk it's nose. If you are bothered by this sentence. I guess you're just not cool enough for the noses.

Except you don't actually win prizes yet since the thing will be in beta until 2010.

It is still in beta but they implemented actual winning starting last week or maybe two weeks ago.

You can, if you succeed the small chance of being in the 100 mob, or the even smaller chance of being the one.

Made even smaller this weekend, as silver members can play, too.

            Neat.

Well that's very cool then, Tint. I havn't had a chance to be the mob or the one yet.

You CAN, yes but it ain't too likely. If you're The One you can win lots of points if you cut and run before you get a question wrong. Last night I saw a guy get up to the last 7 in the mob, he would've won like 50,000 points if he'd quit but he kept going, didn't know the answer so he "Trusted the Brain" meaning he was locked into the top player's answer. The Brain got it wrong and the dude got nada. If you're in the mob and The One loses you split his points with what's left of the mob and get the featured XBLA game. Everybody else is the Crowd and the top 3 crowd scorers per round win the game.

that's exactly what happened, the question was What animal did romulous and reemus suckle off of. The guy picked the brain option and got it wrong (the brain said Ewe,it's actually wolf)

but yes this is very easy to do and I believe there's actually multiple rooms where it happens because I got in with little to no problem. and it was live too so the host was talking to a guy that phoned in.

Yeah, the last 3 times I've seen somebody pick "The Brain's" answer, they got it wrong.

Just goes to show you're probably better off on your own...!

Mathematically speaking how is it better to take a pure 33% guess when you can try to trust someone who, at the very worst, also has the exact same odds but at the very best could know the answer for sure?

Well yeah, if it's a pure guess, it would be statistically just as good or better. But I'd like to think many people here have an idea of what the answer might be, considering the actual questions.

Some questions are **** hard, if your brushed up on your etymology though some questions are a lot easier. There's also a vidya game triva night. I got 24/30 my first one.
