I'm probably the only one here who has pre-ordered. But thought I would let anyone else if they did in on it if they forgot.

I am playing the chinese beta in between NA betas. I like it, but that's just me.

I really don't know. Theres been a thousand topics comparing AION with WoW on the AION fansite boards. From what I have read it's nothing like that. But personally I have only played to 20 in WoW before I got bored out of my mind. I just wanted a new game to PvP with, City of Heroes is broken and I am bored with Guild Wars after playing it for so many years.

im going to give this game a try it looking like fun i pre-orderd it and once it comes out i want to give a good month of play before i past judgment on it

I'll be playing this over WoW in fall.

WoW has far too many problems.

Edit: Dear god, do NOT go to Aionsource forums. That place is a cesspool, like the WoW forums.


As of last beta event this is what Aion is wow with:

Awesome graphics.
Flight
Better Balance(PvP)
Voice acting

I think it looks pretty good! Definitely has a lot of WoW flavor to it. Based on that video review, it looks like they need to rethink some of the systems they've got in place right now. I'm interested to see how that "chain attack" system works out--hopefully there will be enough variety to keep things interesting. Then again, with the makers of Guild Wars behind this, I'm not too worried.

Sadly, the makers of Guild Wars have nothing to do with it.

As long as the PvP isn't broken and stupid like WoW, CoH, etc. I can live it being "Generic".

AION opens an open beta next week from sept 6 to sept 13 its kinda kool and should give more people a better chance to plays this the only down side is the 9.3GB!! download and a 3GB patch

After playing Champions Online I regret pre-purchasing the collectors edition of AION on the NCSoft store and not being able to refund it. Lesson learned

I'm glad they fixe the issues i had with champions, cause if it hadnt been straightened out i probably would have played Aion, and i unfortunately feel it would have become like EQ and WoW to me, and gotten old and unfun.

Even with some of the less than stellar reviews that CO has received, I still feel it is the better game, and Aion honestly feels like a Korean MMO that i have to pay for, instead of one that is free.

I'm guessing at this point due to this topic dying so soon that not many people play Aion?

My friend got me into it, he used to play WoW but signed up for the Closed Beta and got in. Since then, I've been wasting a bunch of time in game and have a level 50 Chanter, along with a few other higher level characters.

Anyone still play? With the server mergers there might be some of you here that will be on my server. (Whatever Lumiel is combining with)

While the game is kind of a bore to me now due to the 1.9 patch outrageously reducing loot drops and making it extremely hard to farm money, I am probably going to quit for FF14 when that comes out later in the year. But, if anyone still plays, let me know!
