Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

I know Bon likes to save these ones for me....

In FOUR days, Karr, my friend and I will be in the theater, waiting anxiously for the 6th installment. I find these movies get better and better as the series goes on... the actors are improving their performances, and the artistic direction of this film looks ****ing amazing.

Also, its presales are out performing Transformers.

    Sorry Valk

    Anyone else excited???

It looks more like Harry Potter: We Finally Reached Puberty, but I'll watch it like I have with the others. They were pretty good.

Guan Yu: "Is your lord Cao Cao still alive?"

Xiahou Dun: "He says he can't die until you do!"

It would have been out sooner had it not been for the writer's strike, I believe.

It's been a while since I read the 6th book, but as long as they don't completely abuse their creative license, I'll be okay with the product.

I'm not very familar with the books, I've only read the first two, but this is...the sixth book? *starts trying to count the books and movies on his fingers*

Yes, sixth movie and sixth book.

The seventh movie (also the seventh and last book) is being split into two movies set for 2010 and 2011.

I convinced Karr to lining up at 7:30pm... we were lucky last time.. showed up 2 hours early, and not a minute after we got our place in line, the line started to double in length.

              not risking it this time.

I have little hope for this movie. It's being made by the same guy that did the last one, which was pretty damn prosaic. I really wish they would've hired back Cuaron to make the last few movies. Oh well.

I don't know what they were going for visually, but in the previews the most color in the movie is some fire spell that Dumbledore is casting. Everything else is this horrible washed-out mess.

                            ^ This is true!

Mind you, and this isn't a spoiler, but a good chunk of the movie will be flashbacks.

Oh for christ sake this dumb complaint crosses into film now?

As the series moves in for a more serious tone I think its kinda appropriate that Hogwarts is portrayed in a much more stoic less whimsical manner, its a transition that happens across the movies.

And I loved Order so I'm eagerly awaiting this one.
