If you have the usb keyboard for the PS2, and use it for RPG Maker 2 here are some handy shortcuts. I found some of these out last night while I was messing around with the battle scripts trying to optimize then and figure out what most of them do, selection I have know for a while.

F11 will auto save and exit any text entry. So now when you are typing in a text message ot text box or any text entry just hit F11 to save the changes to the text. If only it worked for other things.

F9 inserts a page break which is the blue triangle symbol you see on some of the default text message screens. I had always wondered what that symbol was.

The default windows cut, copy and paste work for text. Ctrl+X to cut, Ctrl+C to copy and Ctrl+V to paste.

To select a whole line hit home hold down shift, press right once, still holding down shift hit end then hit right again. This will also work with any combination of these after holding down shift. *Note* Holding down shift and hitting end will not select all of the line, like on a computer, which is why you must hit right twice.

And to end Ctrl+Home goes to the very beginning of the text, and ctrl+end goes to the end of the last page.

Hope this is helpful to you, since I know it has been a time saver for me, especially now that I know about F11. It seems none of the other buttons do anything as I have tried pretty much all the ctrl+button combinations, and alt+button combinations. And no ctrl+alt+del does not reset the PS2, or do anything for that matter.

So if you have any I missed feel free to post them in this thread.

The only shortcut I didn't know about was the F11 one. That's pretty cool, even though I won't want to use it.:p

Doesn't one of the F keys delete the entire entry you're typing? Or something like that? I always stayed away from the shortcuts because I was afraid of accidently hitting that after typing out something long.

Thank you very much. All I knew about was the cut/copy/paste, but that highlight a whole line will help me out, so thank you.

You are missing F12, which works like F11 except any changes you made to the text are not saved. I think this is the key Ryner was talking about.

You can also select whole lines (and even several "Pages" of text) by holding shift and pressing the "Down" arrow.
