I think that the Internet has a long way to go before it catches up with current PC technology. Look at how powerful recent computers have become, and how advanced video games have grown. When you look at what the Internet has to offer, it pales in comparison from a technological standpoint. To show just how far the Internet is lagging behind, mobile devices are now able to surf most of the Web. Anyway, that's just what I think. What's your stance on this?

Re: The Internet, what's your stance?
I know what you're saying, to an extent... but I think it's worth noting that the Internet isn't really... "technology" in the sense that a PC is technology... it's there to CONNECT those other technologies.
I dunno, I think it's doing just fine at that right now, looking at how slow and impractical some Internet-based applications were eleven years ago when I used AOL for the first time.
The fact that mobile applications can surf the Web is actually a sign of how robust our connectivity is, when you look at how many transfers are needed to make it happen. The "last mile" of wire that information goes through to get to your computer is by far the slowest, and with cell phones, it's like having dozens of miles of "last mile." So it's amazing that we've come far enough to make it work at all!

Very gond point, Wave.
Actually, a few companies volunteered to make wireless broadband free. Google it to find more information on the subject.Originally posted by The_Real_Crunk View PostDidnt they want to make the airwave internet free?
