Re: The Oscars: The ****ed Knight

Why because it isn't up for best picture? It really wasn't that good anyways.

TBS is coming shortly... I finally got off my lazy self and contacted Datel, so new Max Drive software is coming thus allowing me to release my TBS.

      NEVER oppose a Grump.

I know Wall-E is going to win animated picture. If it doesn't, then I will riot.

They need to change or update that category from "animated" to CG animated. Traditional animation and CG animation aren't the same thing. If you don't believe me, find someone that can create CG the same way that traditional animation is done. It doesn't work.

Eh, the oscars are a joke anyway.

they can't seperate the animated category because one of those mediums is effectively dead. I dont think there has been a theatrically released animated film for a few years now.

Then change it to CG animated. Regardless of what's been made, using the term "animated" isn't appropriate anymore.

The oscars are rigged by the same people that hold back the electric car. And make Steve Guttenberg a star.

It's still animated, slapping a CG to the front of it doesn't change the fact that it is animated. They wouldn't have enough movies if they seperated the two. I mean, if they did, that Aqua Team Hunger Force movie a while back would have won an oscar just to fill a spot.

As for the topic, Dark Knight was more of a blockbuster film than an Oscar-bait film.

They're gonna make a huge big deal about Heathbar Ledger anyhow. I mean, he's "competing" (dunno if that's the correct word for it) against a guy in TROPIC THUNDER.

So what do you guys think, Slumdog wins with Fincher getting best director or Button wins with Boyle getting best director?

As I mentioned before, there's a big difference between CG animation and traditional animation. They are two different mediums, and should be treated as such. CG can't be done with traditional techniques, the very techniques that established the "animated feature" genre. I know it's contrary to the how out of date the oscars always are, but they really need to update this **** for the 21st century.

Before you get your panties in a knot, remember that this is merely my opinion. Your opinion may vary!
