Detroit would be awesome for filming low budget post apocalyptic movies

Here's a photo essay on the ruins of Detroit:

Currently, the official statistics have Detroit's unemployment rate at 21% and the average home value is about $18,500(Although I'd surmise that the cost of a livable home is much higher).

You are very likely staring at America's near-term future as a whole nation when you view this essay.
The unnecessary felling of a tree, perhaps the growth of centuries, seems to me a crime little short of murder." ~ Thomas Jefferson

It's not really that bad. Though it's a pretty ****ty city.

This is why I'm taking my degree out of Michigan. Grand Rapids isn't bad, but even Michiganders are scared of Detroit.

TBS is coming shortly... I finally got off my lazy self and contacted Datel, so new Max Drive software is coming thus allowing me to release my TBS.

Looks like a great place to shoot some super hero themed, gay librarians.

My sister and brother-in-law are firefighters in/around Detroit. I hear urban spelunking is pretty popular with all of the abandoned complexes and factories.

Whats wrong with saying librarians? I searched it just now, and people say it in the free forum all the time. Why can't I?
                    ...
Anyways, it was a reference to that guy who went around Detroit(I'm pretty sure it was Detroit) taking pictures of old buildings and stumbled upon some people shooting; yeah.

Ven at work told me a Detroit story but it's inappropriate for this topic. Let's just say it involves rape in streets.

Greek town is nice, as is the first two miles of Woodward. Outside of that, the city is a complete **** hole. Of all the major cities I've been to it's far and away the worst.
