I almost got stabbed!

Someone attempted to rob me at knife point tonight when I was walking to the post office to pick up a package.

I took off running and made it to a near by convience store and they called 911.

Close to 8 cop cars showed up including the k-9. Must have been a slow night.

Anyways, I'm home safe now but the guy screamed that he knew where I lived. So its really scary right now and we will be moving as soon as we get caught up on our rent.

Gloomy said he was probably just trying to scare me from calling the cops but then again I am the only one with hot pink hair in the neighbourhood.

Gloomy couldn't come with because Charlie was sleeping and he couldn't go for me because I needed to sign for it. It wasn't even dark out yet and we've never had a problem around here.

It was 10 mins from where we live. The neighbourhood has only gotton bad in the last month.We are so outta here once we find $500, which I'm sure my mom and dad will be happy to help with, hopefully.

Robbed at knife point is generally harmless in every way beyond the fact that you're being robbed at knife point. They make threats and you do whatever they say because you're panicking and doing whatever they say because you're scared and won't think about the logistics behind it. A repeat offense is unlikely except in a very similar circumstance, ie. walking home at night and coming to your apartment to rob and further threaten you is too likely to be caught for most people to bother with, unless they're really desperate/crazy/drug-addled.

So I should think moving is not really a logical thing to do. But I could be wrong. And safety versus uncertainty is always a good bet. Also, glad you're ok.

He didn't get anything from me. At this point I am more concerned with Charlie's safety than my own. We wanted to move anyways and this was the push that make us think it needs to be done sooner than later.

They havn't caught the guy yet and I doubt they will.

I was robbed at knife point once. At my house! It was an acquanitance of my mom's. He stole my VCR and pulled a knife on me when I tried to stop him from going out the door with it so I was like go right ahead. Me and my cousin were robbed at gunpoint at a bus stop once. Well technically I wasn't robbed since all I had was my housekey there was nothing for the guy to take. They got my cousin's chain and cellphone though.
