The words "bad idea" come to mind. So in conclusion, email him gay porn and laugh about it.

Best I can think of.
Scare him by saying you work for an anti-email scam organization and threaten him with prison.

Set up various email accounts, tell him you're on the run from the FBI and can't use the same account for too long, and can he contact you at ___? See how long he keeps emailing your new account.

Give him a fake name, but a real phone number. Keep playing until he gives you some real information you can **** with about.

As if the fact that it's from South Africa wasn't indication enough of it's scaminess.
I'm with Ryner's suggestion.
Or reporting it to Dateline so they can do another "To catch a Scam Artist" special.

I asked him "25% of what?"

I woulda been like "Yeah, well you and your e-mail scam can kiss 25% of my butt!"
Funny name + Rejection Hotline?
I talked to these guys before to se how far theyd go, we got as far as him wanting me to fill out a check for $5,000 so he could "finish up some business" and promised "you'll get it back when the transaction is completed."

String him along to try to get some money out of him... Say you don't have a bank account and there's a processing fee or something. Or a fee for a money order or something. There are some creative people here, I'm sure we could make it last a while.
Tell him to join pavilionboards, tell him theres some real suckers there:lol
I actually talked to a scammer over the phone.

I like how there has been "due consideration and consultation" involved, but he doesn't know your real name.
Seriously, has anyone EVER fallen for this?

I GOT A REPLY.
25% of everything.
HOLY CRAP, EVERYTHING? SIGN ME THE **** UP.
What to I send back to make it sound like I'm totally buying into this?
Karr Lord of Chaos

Valkysas
02-26-2008, 02:02 PM
Why would I want that?
The whole point in this isnt to drive a scammer away, it's to see how far we can go.

try to bargin, thats what a "reasonable" person would do.
or string your self along and ask what to do next.
Ask what "everything" entails, like an estimated sum of money, and ask him how soon you can get this done, because you need the cash because youre late on your payment on a beach house in Maui and it's in jeopardy of being reposessed.

I'd have just rambled on about aryan supremacy and how apartheid was the best thing to happen in Africa since the slave trade.
