No, Mora, It's a medusa head and bottomless pit tag team.
The only ones I knew from that list were Lakitu and Shadow. Lakitu being the only one of those two I agree with. The Shadows are pesky, but they are ****ing easy.
I forgot about the shadow thing that the Heartless do. I would've gone through the game at least an hour faster if they didn't do that.
That's not even, like, a challenging feature. It just delays their inevitable death.
Seven?! That list should be so much longer! Earthbound alone has, like, a dozen enemies that make me cringe when I see them. That includes all the ones that explode and/or summon other enemies.
Any flying critter in the NES Ninja Gaiden games. You make the jump only to get hit by a friggin' bat that came out of no where, knocking you backwards into the bottomless pit of death.
These bastards fly by and claw at your head. Then, if you shoot them (if you manage to hit them, that is), they'll often fly off into the distance. So you can either chase them down and risk more damage as they swoop at you again, or let them be and wait until you encounter them later. Or, you hit them enough that they land, but in a spot you can't reach, so you can't finish them off by kicking them in the butt. Meh.
The invulnerable ghosts in SH4 were also horrible.
Those amoeba/gooey looking things in the Chrysler Building's storage rooms in Parasite Eve would also make my list.
Yeah, she obviously doesn't play Castlevania. The golden medusa heads (I think they're gold, the ones that petrify you) aren't as bad as the weaker heads because they don't cause that ANNOYING knockback.
Also, every enemy from Ghosts n Goblins especially the red demon. Not only does he take 2 hits to kill (instead of one) but he flies out of your reach and swoops in at odd angles making him nearly impossible to kill without taking hits.
Finally, I want to nominate every spellcaster from Vagrant Story especially the vanishing phantoms and those flying guys. Not only can they take away half your health with a single spell (depending on your defense although most of the time they'll cast a spell you're vulnerable too) but they fly away when you try to get close to them.
