    Part 1 of RPG Tsukuru 4 feature is finished

    There's a special surprise in the articles section (on the site, don't ask for a link like a retard, just click the banner if you're reading this on the forum). Well, not much of a surprise, since the update title tells you what it is. Yes, it's a feature on the PS1 RPG Maker we never got, and most people who visit this site have never played or seen in action.

    This is the first part of an ongoing series of articles where we will examine every single one of Enterbrain's RPG Maker titles that never made it to the US. I hope you'll enjoy these articles, or I'll hate you forever because taking screenshots and navigating japanese menus is really hard and annoying and you better appreciate it or I'll hit you.

    Update:
    I've just wrapped up Part 1 of the RPG Tsukuru 4 feature, which covers some of the interesting stuff in the sample games. the text under the last image from yesterday's update was changed a bit, so please start there.

    Part 2 is coming soon, and will detail the actual creation system. It will be very, very long.

          That was pretty awesome. I wish that they would at least consider releasing this in the states. I was amazed with the reflections and use of shadows. At least have it on a handheld and send it here. Please...

                  Really neat. Definitely reminiscent of RM1, but with a few of the touches that we're used to in RM3 (ability to illustrate weather, non-grid-based movement) that we honestly couldn't do without anymore.

                  If this were to be released stateside today, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I can totally see why it's your favorite Tsukuru. And yet... looking at it makes me realize that there are probably a few things about the gameplay that I would want to change but couldn't... which gets me excited about RM2 once again.

                  I'm looking forward to seeing the battle system, but I'm really looking forward to seeing the editor. I can wait for the rest of it... but I have to ask this one question right now... Variables or Flags?

                        A shame we'll never get this. Even in the off-chance a localizer like Agetec would bring over a PS1 game this day in age, each RPGM seems so radically different that it's just more "sensible" to bring over the new ones.

                        Then again, it has been a while since we've had a new one. If it were brought over, it would make the RPG Maker community very excited. I know it's a pipe dream, but still, to Agetec, *wink-wink, nudge-nudge* :P

                            Just read the finished article. What the heck, this thing has features we've been pleading for in newer RPGMs. Side-view ATB system and pretty summons? What happened when they went to RPGT5 and our RPGM3?

                              Wow! It was rather exciting to see the combat and the summons... until I realize that we will never get our hands on it. Then I join Draygone with his crying.
