Which do you prefer?
(and why?)

Cats:
+ They're soft and fluffy
+ They meow
+ They take care of themselves
- If they're an indoor cat, they poop in a box

Dogs:
+ They are easier to train
+ They are more loyal
+ They can fetch stuff
- They smell and require bathing
- They bark
- Their farts make me vomit



I've been a cat-person for a long time.
I like their varying personalities better than dogs'.
I don't really like how dogs follow you around and jump
on you, either. My girlfriend got a dog yesterday, so now I have to
deal with it. I told her she should only get a dog if it was enough like a cat.
It's not that bad. Nowhere near as badass as Kitty Fat Face is, though.

Shoot. I voted "Cats" then remembered that I like wolves too. And wolves are the ancestors of dogs.

Anyway, I like cats because they're more sanitary and you don't need to care for them as much. And they're just plain cute.

Dogs I don't mind too much, except that a lot of them are way too friendly, jumping up on me and licking me and such. I'm actually afraid of dogs like that.

There, I fixed it for ya.

I like cats, because they're like women. With gender-related peeves aside, they can take care of themselves. But they do shed hair like, every day of their lives.

But I also like dogs. They require more maintenance, but they have the potential to be real life-long friends... unlike cats. Fickle critters.

I like both, but I love cats a lot more.

One cat I had for 11 years (died of a tumor) was very loyal to me. Everywhere I went in the house, he would follow. If I had food, I'd always share a piece with him. One time my door was closed, and I heard sort of a loud *pound*. My brother saw my cat run across the hallway and pounce on the door just so I would let him in. I would always let him go outside, and the brat liked to go exploring outside the yard by climbing the fence. Next thing I knew, he's meowing at my window at the front of the house to be let in through the front door (he did that a lot).

And since I'm on the computer a lot, if it got late, he would always lay down right at my side waiting for me to go to bed. When I finally got tired, he would either sleep on my face, or at a corner of the bed. He never slept in any other room.

It was weird how he chose me.

Dogs, because cats are *****es, and some of them don't train so easily. Of course unless you own a house, dogs are a lot more trouble. But once I get my house I'm getting me a dog and no cats ever.
