In your opinion, what is the quintessential fighting game.

I'm going to be boring, lame and predictable and say Jojo's Bizarre adventure.

Also a close second, Anything Dark stalker.

You have some mechanical grammar errors but you've got good vocabulary and diction which are really the hard part of writing. A good proofreader can fix the other stuff for you. </off topic>

It's not the best fighting game by any means but I miss Killer Instinct.

The quintessential fighting game would have to be Street Fighter 2. It basically started the genre as we know it, after all.

Favorite? I agree with Super Smash Brothers Melee.

Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting.

Considering all the fighting games that came after it, it's still a huge favorite of mine. My friends and I still play it every once in a while on the old Super NES and my recently-downloaded XBox Live Arcade excursion.

Ryu is basically the only character I really ever use. Well, him and Blanka.
