As we approach the pavilion's seventh anniversary, I though I'd ask.
Why are you here? What made you decide to come here?
I wasnt a regular for quite a while, but I came here because the only other forum I went to at the time (agetec's) was so crowded with Armored Core discussion, since it was only one forum, not divided up into seperate categories. RPG Maker talk quickly got buried before you could find out the answer to your question. Luckily, it wasnt like that at the pavilion.
I'm still here because I love being involved in helping people get their dreams turned into games, and get them out there for other people to enjoy. I like watching the community evolve all on it's own, without any certain direction or purpose. The general discussion areas are an entire community in themselves, that isnt influenced at all by what goes on outside of that area. It's very odd that on one site there can be two complete communities co-existing, with one being comprised of people who have outgrown the other, or have never even had an interest in RPG Maker to begin with. Thats the strangest thing about the pavilion in my eyes, that so many people here have never touched the software, or at least havent for 5 years or more. Even with that, this is a place they've chosen as their "online home", so to speak. It's strange that the largest console RPG Maker site on the net is completely capable of surviving without RPG Maker. Thats why I'm still here. it's a unique place that never stops surprising me.

), this place is my internet home, and the Pav is the first place I navigate to when I turn the computer on, and its window stays open the entire time I'm on the computer, whether I'm actively browsing the site or not. I'd like to thank everyone involved for keeping this site what it is, which is a really awesome place to call home.
