He's already apologized for what he said. He went to GLAAD and talked to them about it, and he voluntarily agreed to do that public service announcement. He's done a lot of damage control. While I certainly don't condone what he said, I don't agree with his firing. Whatever happened to second chances?

Yeah, i would have said to give him another chance, if he had only done it once, could have just been a slip, or a bit of celebrity stupidity that is so common. But when he did it a 2nd time, apparently with the intention to out TR Knight, then he lost any 2nd chance he had.

There's more to it than political correctness though. Some of the cast members didn't want to work with him anymore, there was a lot of "don't watch this show as long as Washington's still on it" BS. It just wasn't worth it to keep him on.
