ive often popped in here and looked at the bottom to see whos in the chat and found it with either one person or totaly empty. so i have to ask, does anyone use the chat? and if so when is the best time to see if theirs people there. i love chatting to fellow pavilionites yet its boring to keep up a conversation with myself, not like i cant find tons of interesting topics to talk about.

It seemed to lose it's novelty after the first week or so, now I'm not sure people know it exists anymore to be honest. Of course there are still some issues with IE, because IE's retarded (well technically because every browser implements focus() in a different way, IE's being decidedly the most annoying), but at some point in the next month those should be fixed. So every now and then there are a few people but not often.

same thing karr. ive been in there a few different times, but nobody ever goes in, so i dont either. ive waited for a few hours on a couple of occasions.

Ever since the last attack I never see anybody in there the few times I check. And the window that's supposed to show when people are in there just says error loading xml page or something to that effect. I'm sure you'll get it all back running smoothly though TTC and it'll start to get some use again.

Sadly, we havn't had a chat room that didn't suck for a few years now.

I remember there ebing quite a few people in chat once in awhile but then you locked the topic where we all announced we were there.

People are too lazy to go to the link and check. If they can see in the "new posts" that someone is there, they would be more likely to go me thinks.

The last chat room was awesome, but that didn't last. If there was a chatroom that was as fun and easy to use like the last one, I'd bet more poeple would join it.

I liked that other chat room. We should just get a userplane one, cause you can voice and cam in it and it's free.

So if you don't mind me asking what exactly makes this chat suck/not easy or fun to use. Last I checked I never saw any suggestions from people in the forum for it, or on this one, so I assumed it was pretty good. Hopefully I'll be able to fix all the issues with in IE in about 2 weeks, but honestly I've never had them happen to me in IE6 and can't get IE7 so it's hard to test that.

So here's your chance to spell out what you don't like, I can take criticism, but I don't think giving vague criticism like it sucks, or isn't fun is helping anyone. If I find out a way to I might try putting the users in the chat off to the side of the forum in a collapsible div, so it will be easier to check.

I LIKE the current chat, and so we're keeping it. improving it is fine, but we're not getting rid of it.

Well I figured this is why some people don't go in there, not everyone likes chatting, just curious what's keeping those who don't actually like it.

I'd like it if I could figure out how to get into the damn thing.

What error are you getting, or what specifically is happening.
