American Gladiators

Recently, I've seen ESPN Classic re-run this old show. I think it's kinda cool. Used to watch this show all the time on Saturday Morning. The events were inventive and they kept things interesting by having different ones and not always in the same order. And that ELiminator looked crazy, even though when it showed up, I knew it was then end of the show that day. Anyone else remember?

I watched it religiously as a kid. I wanted to actually grow up and become a gladiator.

I used to watch it all the time too and I've also caught it a few times on ESPN classic. Probably the most physical game show ever. It's like Jeopardy for jocks.

there was one season where this awesome dude with really long black hair got beat in the championship finals by some redneck from texas.

Assault was my favorite event. I would have liked to do that one, just once.

I remember there was a contender on there who either won the championship or got close, I remember him 'cause his name was Rico Constantino, and it's kind of easy to remember.
