First four months in sales chart

    http://kotaku.com/gaming/nintendo/ch...ths-249629.php

So much for the Wii being "held back" as some have claimed. it's the fastest selling console for the first 4 months in this generation, and it beat everything from the last generation too.

Going by the second chart, the only system to beat the Wii in the first four months is the N64.

And that turned out so well for Nintendo.

Gamecube did better than 360 and PS3. Nintendo does well in the beginning a lot, after that though...

yeah, but sometimes they're able to keep that pace up. GBA and DS, for instance.

I hope they keep this rate going.

What was GBA's competition though? GBC?

Although I do agree with NDS though.

The GBA's only competition was the PSP and Nintendo's own DS, both of which it dominated for quite a while, I believe.

But you can't compare a portable to a console.

I refuse to believe the validity of those numbers. I never seen a Wii on a shelf so I refuse to believe they're actually selling it.

It also had a few years head-start.

Anyhow, Nintendo owns the handheld market we all know that anyhow.

Maybe, just maybe, the reason you never see them on shelves is because people are buying them?

But there's no proof of that. Except for a poorly made chart on a website that uses a Japanese word for it's name.

I'm sorry, i have to admit, i have not seen a Wii on store shelves in months, when i ask the mgr of the EB near where i work, he said they get a couple in every few weeks. I cannot believe they are selling that well with so seemingly small an output

well, just like the DS, I'm sure the Wii will succeed off of mediocre product. Just look at the average review for majority of Wii games.

Well, whatever. I'm all for the Wii keeping up the mediocrity in the hopes that other people pick up some of the great games coming out for the 360. A 3 way tie would be the best case scenario, methinks.

It's like Vietnam! Inflating the numbers of enemy casualties. Might as well be anyway.
