Well I'm packing to go to canada after school, but I can do it when I get off easter break. We learned the math behind it when I went to Governor's School this summer for Mathematics. It's pretty much just group theory. In fact we can theoretically solve a rubiks cube of any size, just takes a pen, paper, and quite a bit of time.
A little strategy helps. People think you solve for the sides, this isn't true, you solve for the layers. On the bottom layer you get your cross, then corners. then your bottom layer will be done with all the middle pieces of your second layers. Then you get the sides of your middle layer, then your X on the top layer and finally your corners on the top. You also have to memorize some steps and understand rubiks step notation.
