Names?

Ok so we have settled on a girls name but cannot agree on a boy's name. Glooms wants something manly and something that isn't too newish and I want something thats a little different but not crazy new age hippy.
So can anyone offer a bit of help? This is the biggest "argument" so far.

My step-mom's father's original name was Shelby, but he hated the name and thought it was too girly. So he changed his name to Buck, which is apparently the most manly name ever.

If Gloomy hasn't already suggested Buck, I'll be disappointed.

All the names I like for guys are not as manly.

Wow, I did miss alot!

All I ask, as a preschool teacher. Name your child something somewhat NORMAL. It's becoming unnaturally trendy to name your kid something unusual. Dondre, Cameron(boy), Gage, Zimraan, Bryce, and such have become COMMON.
Be origional, name your kid Fred.
