yup, and its driving me completely insane. sometimes ill rescue them cause they bother me so much, other times ill just drawn it out with music.

heres two fly stories i had recently.

i opened and cooked a can of soup, and while i was eating it i noticed something floating on the surface, i spooned it out and looked and found it to be a small fruit fly. waiter, theirs a fly in my soup. i of course finished the soup.

i was at a very posh wedding last year - had an open bar which i abused - and of course these people are prim and proper so our garcon (sp) didnt belive me when i wanted a new water becuase their was a fly lying dead on the surface. i realy had to point it out for him, he probaly thought i was drunk and i probaly would of agreed.


so what do you think i should do about the noise violator?

edit: why the hell do they crash against the window or a light fixture anyway?

Flies crash against light because they're drawn to it. As for the window...ask someone else.

Maybe if you got one of those lights that burn bugs that come near it, you'd be ok.

I get houseflies every so often in my house. Seriously, they **** me off. I'm usually chasing them with a fly swatter or a can of Raid (like that helps) and it takes me fifteen minutes to kill one of them.

It's especially bad on hot days. I usually have my windows open and the little creeps crawl through small holes in the screening and make themselves at home in my kitchen and and my bedroom....where I hate them the most.

They can't possibly be as bad as the crickets in the basement when autumn comes. Loud...Loud, noisy and in dark corners where you can't get to em.

Oh, we also get crickets in my house, too. On rare occasions, we get big ones that make some of the most irritating chirping noises ever.

I have millions of organisms in my body, but luckily they are mostly quiet.

There's a fair amount of greenery around the apartment I'm living at, and I suspect that they haven't caulked something properly, because I get at least a couple gnats in the place each day. I generally try to catch them in a little cup and take them outside, but if they get killed in the process, problem solved (though I feel a bit bad).

We have this reoccuring problem with these other types of cricket type bugs, but they don't make any kind of noise. They're pretty ugly looking things though. They got some mean distance when they jump too. They been hard as hell to get rid of.

I was almost bitten by a Black Widow once when I was taking out the garbage. It made a home inside my garbage bin, and crept up to my hand as I was pulling the bin to the sidewalk. Fortunately, I noticed it right away and flicked it off me before it could deliver its death bite. If I were a minute late, I probably wouldn't be here!
