WHAT HAPPENED? isnt it obvious? McDonald's ads everywhere. even the site's background image is a McDonald's ad.

this happened to IGN not too long ago.

Well I dont go to Gamespot.

Oh, and at first I confused Gamespot with Gamestop and thought he was talking about the store, so that's why I didn't just go to the site and check for myself.

I think McDonalds should spend money on making their food better and not gratutious advertising on a video game site.

I gotta disagree. I gave up on IGN a long time ago (2001? I remember really saying goodbye for good after their Kingdom Hearts review).

Gamespot's not great (are there ANY decent "mainstream" game sites?) but it doesn't bombard you with marijuana ads in every link. *glares menacingly at IGN's McGriddles*

Seriously though, this is freaky, seeing a major "food" corporation slippin' a whole lotta dollas GameSpot's way to put up GIANT, QUESTIONABLE ADS everywhere your eyeballs look.

"I'd hit it."? Dude, it's a sandwich. Although I'm sure you can find folks with sandwich fetishes somewhere on that IntarWeb place, you won't find them here.

Most likely, anyway.

I don't see anything wrong with it, the ads are just for some two headed dog thing.
