    MAX Drives

Can I use a regular flash drive to download games? Could I transfer the game and play it on my PS2?

Can you access PS saved game files from a flash drive?

I was under the impression that you could use any USB memory device as long as you had the .max on it and had the PS2 Max Drive cd.

I broke the little 125mb card it came with and tried it on my 1gb flash drive and the files wouldnt show up.

          Re: MAX Drives

I have the max drive program for my ps2, I dl the .max onto my empty LG USB 1 Gb flash drive, connect it to the ps2, the max drive software recognizes it, however, no .max saves come up under my flash drive.

I've tried it with my flash drive stick and mp3 player. Neither work.

          Any suggestions?

          nevermind

          I kinda found out-

Q: The MAX Drive software does not work with my own USB pen drive, which is not manufactured by Datel. Why is this?
A: We do not support third party pen drives, and recommend that you only use MAX Drive with your PS2. Our MAX Drive software has only been fully tested with the Datel MAX drive, which is the only USB pen drive that is 100% compatible with PlayStation 2. If you try using an untested USB pen drive made by another manufacturer it will most likely not work at all, and there is a strong possibility that your game saves and other PS2 data will become corrupted. We cannot be held responsible for any loss of your data.

Please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions
Yay, now I have to find a datel USB stick or get another bundle all together.

My PSP works fine with it.

I have another brand flash drive (PNY, I think) and it works fine with the Action Replay Max software.

I have a Kingston 128 meg drive & a Samsung 1G MP3 player,. both work with the maxdrive software. I also have the 16 meg datel flash drive, which of course also works.
