I don't know, he seems like an uninspiring choice. Everyone else's casting was greated with a chorus of, "OMFG YES!" With him and Heath Ledger I'm hesitant. I think they both can pull it off, but there's still doubt. With Bale you knew he'd be Batman, it was just a matter of how crazy psychotic he went with it.

Aaron Eckhart certainly does have the chin for it though.

I just wonder if they're gonna keep the relationships the same. If Bruce and Harvey Dent are gonna be friends, if, together with Gordon, they form the "trio" they did in The Long Halloween.

heath, i dunno. pretty big joker shoes to fill. with any luck he'll be at least a romero. but with no "super awesome" two face to live up to(though a pretty god harvey dent), there's not really alot of room for him to destroy my expectations.

Actually, I think it would serve a better purpose as set-up in Dark Knight. I know the Batman Begins team was greatly inspired by Long Halloween, so I think this story won't be far removed from it.

My predictions are the trio forming and chasing after the Joker, and eventually sometimes toward the end Harvey gets the acid splashed in his face, leading up to his appearance as the main villain in the third movie.
