    America: From Freedom to Fascism

For many who fail to understand the content of the posts I make, you will get a much better understanding if you watch the following video:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsZO6G7dfpI

It's 109 minutes long, but well worth it. It explains in a succinct manner America's gradual slide to dictatorship and just how our liberties are being eroded.

Aaron Russo directed a documentary detailing how since the creation of the Federal Reserve Bank, America has been in a state of incipient fascism. He explains what characteristics have made this country similar to such a state and where it is headed in the near future given the legislation passed by our politicians. His arguments are reasonably well-documented and rooted in fact, as much as people may want to call him a conspiracy theorist. Conspiracy historian would be far more accurate a term, unfortunately.

Can I read 1984 again and get the same general gist?

One of the quotes in this movie is misattributed to Woodrow Wilson.

            Otherwise, informative and interesting.

The more I learn about the central reserve bank, the more my jaw drops. What can you say...America's founding fathers were diametrically opposed to the idea for a reason. A good reason. It is INSANE to give a private corporation untouchable power over the money of the entire country.

                This private institution can:
                - Make more money
                - Destroy money
                - Cause recession
                - Cause inflation
                - Raise/lower the value of the dollar

And they don't have to answer to anybody.

Terr, we get it, you're just trying to keep Sejon out of America. It's not working, he's still trying.

I really scared myself once by reading an essay about how the world is becaming like 1984. I should find that again.

Kind of off topic but what do you think of Alex Jones Terr? I personally do not agree with the guy's views on some topics such as 9/11 but my brother adores the guy.

Re: America: From Freedom to Fascism

Alex Jones tends to have views more in the realm of theory as opposed to fact. I agree with some of the guy's views and agree with his general outlook on the direction the world is headed, but I don't care for the guy much myself. He needs to do a some fact checking. It's obvious that he's into the 'news' industry for money, and he reports whatever will get him ratings and stir up paranoia. some of his articles are great and well referenced, but others present themselves as fact when they're really just conjecture.

Not everything he says is BS, but people shouldn't accept his word as gospel, either.

You must spread some reputation around before giving it to the toecutter again.

I'll get around to it soon.

The thing I don't like about Alex Jones is that at the end of virtually EVERY 'film' he does, he calls upon all god-fearing patriots to take up arms against the govt. Real smart, Alex. That's just the excuse needed to institute martial law...you know, that thing you're always screaming about? It's to the point that I'm beginning to think he's some kind of operative/aggitator or something...

[EDIT] I really, really liked his part in 'Waking Life'...for whatever that's worth.
