    Rpg maker XP questions

I have heard about alot of different PC RPG Makers. What makes XP the best one? Also what types of things can you create from scratch(like tiles or charcaters)? Can you make characters and enemys like in the first RPGM? Are there battle animations like in RPG Maker 2? How much creative freedom do you have(is it more like RPGM or RPGM2?

    Thanks for the help guys.

It's the only legal on in the states. That's what makes it the best of the Enterbrain (it is Enterbrain right?) PC RPG makers.

RPG Maker XP is kinda like RPGM2 and RPGM1 fused together. You can make cool 2D-style RPGs using a very complex, yet powerful toolset. I've seen a lot of good, professional-style RPGs made with the software (the legal versions, of course)

If you want RPG Maker XP, you can download it somewhere (forgot the site) for $60. A hefty price to pay, but the ONLY known way to get it legally.

XP is the best PC maker because it's the only legal one. But it's also better than any console maker. You can make anything from scratch, but not within the XP program itself. You just create it on your own using your program of choice, then upload it to your XP game. That easily gives it the most creative freedom out of any of the makers.

One thing to note that not a lot of people know is that you don't need XP to play a finished XP game, so your potential audience isn't limited only to those that have bought the program.

You can try it out for free, I think you just download it and you have 30 days to try it out before having to pay. Check download.com
