Re: Silent Hill 2 movie underway...
Why don't they ever let the game writers write the movie. I mean I know game scripts are vastly different from screenplays but they could have the game writers pen the story and then have a screenwriter get everything in 3-act script form, instead of ending up with these half butt game movies that lack in story and filmmaking.Last edited by DarkwingChuck; 12-30-2006, 12:24 PM.I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

It's not like the movies are gonna necessarily correlate with the videogames' stories.Originally posted by EvilNixon666 View PostIf I was at home right now I would so be drawing an irate cartoon...
Silent Hill 2 is my favorite of the SH games. If those turkeys ruin it, I'll send them a flaming box of broken glass.

Re: Silent Hill 2 movie underway...
Doesn't matter. If they call it SILENT HILL 2, then it is going to be associated with the second game by default, even if it doesn't have Captain Wacky (AKA Mr. Sunderland) or the exact story elements.
I'm sure they will pick and choose things from the game that they want to include. I'm also fairly certain that they will get bored while running to the town and just ask some random person how it ends. This seems to be what they did with the first game.Last edited by Nixon; 12-30-2006, 04:05 PM.Eat Smello.

If Sean Bean gets a letter from his dead wife telling him to come to Silent Hill I'm going to be very upset.Ryner's Games

Re: Silent Hill 2 movie underway...
In a word....ME!"If I cannot take on Silent Hill 2 myself, the director who does would need to continue in the same style as the first film. One does not want to make a Hollywood-style movie, and I think that it makes sense if the director of the sequel is European--in the best case scenario, French."
