That's gold Jerry, gold!

As for the game, there are much, much, much better free RPGs out there.

I heard Knights Online was pretty neat, but then again I haven't seen or played it so I can't say for sure.

As far as Runescape, it grew tedious and there are so many annoying people on there it's kind of hard to enjoy it.

I know a kid who does the same thing.
I don't like it much...it takes too long to make any meaningful proggress.

I tried it twice I think. Had no idea what to do once the tutorial was over and didn't care enough to find out.

I ate it for breakfast one time. Get Hero Online. About 50 times better than runescape, but you need to download it. I suggest being a warrior so you can ride a lion.

Knights is good, but there is really no variety as far as characters' class goes. You choose from 2 races (Human or Orc) with 3 classes each (Fighter, Mage, and [I think] Archer). The same classes. Its reminds me of what the original Warcarft would be like if it was an MMORPG and it isn't horrible but after like a week of playing the only thing that's really fun to do anymore is play in the wars against other players and its sad because the high level Mages are total death to every living creature so it seems like it boils down to what Mage has the fastest Net connection and what team they're playing for. (<--that sentence is way longer than any sentence should ever be...)

I reccomend Heros as well. I don't care for the lion but the game is lots better.

I first got that recommended to me by a kid at my school; then a few weeks later my brother started playing it because half the kids in his (about 13 student) class were playing it. I followed shortly after.

Sadily enough I played it, enough to be lvl 54 and then decided, "Why the hell do I waste my time on here when at lvl 54 people ate calling me a noob because I wouldn't sell them something WAY below its worth to save them some money.

Plus paying money to use other servers and to have items that were worthless after you didn't payed wasn't fun. I use to go into the wilderness with about 10 friends and sit on one spot so it looked like one guy on the radar and gank people. That lost its fun when people wouldnt come out and fight. plus the combat was so leniar and dull I couldn't stay. so I sold my account to my girlfriends brother for a tipman custom paintball gun.

It's a fun game to me, but hard to get up levels.

Runescapes's community annoys the hell out of me.
I hate clicking everything, grows tiring and tedious.

The one thing I do like about it is the PVP in the wild. It's crazy, random,
yet fun as hell when you kill someone. But I still play it from time to time.

I remember runescape..

"plz be my gf! ill give you 2000 coins if you'll be my gf!!!"

But then I forgot my username. Somewhere out there, there is an account with close to 30,000 on it. And somewhere out there, desperate boys weep for the lack of girlfriend they invested in.

I've got around 182,000 gold. I don't play much anymore, though.

I hate runescape, now. about 2 yrs ago I had an account that was lvl 84, but then there was suddenly nothing to do. I had everything, so it got quite boring. I said 50 50 because it WAS sorta fun the first 50 lvls. Then after you get barrows dragon ect. and over 1 mil gold... plus like everybody has been saying that its community is bad, it is. Runescape has a staple on the only insult, the universal noob (spelled like that in runescape) and ppl are always trying to get around the swear block. spelling the d word with this as a D.
I). and such.

If you’re looking for instant gratification, then RuneScape isn’t the game for you. Really, it takes about nothing but 3 months of doing but nothing but clicking on a damn tree to get to 99 in the Woodcutting skill. Not my preferred way of spending my time =/

I tried eating broken glass once. You should try it, it's about 50 times better than runescape. I suggest you get to the emergency room before you bleed to death. :)

"I prefer RPGM". It becomes boring after a while.

I started playing RuneScape again.

Yeah, I was bored.

My membership ran out, and I can't put anything new in the bank, nor put things back in there if there isn't another of the same item there.

My RuneScape life has no meaning. And so I roam the mines of Falador, with no purpose other than to take out my despair on countless rocks, making their mineral guts onto the ground and into my pockets. Yeah.

I think it was pretty good... Gets boring though because everything is SOO tedious... And everything is the same... Go catch fish, Cook it, Kill monsters, Gain 2 exp., Repeat... Gets boring...:vomit

50/50.

I started playing like 5 or 6 years ago when it was still new and before there were pay servers. It wasn't bad, but yeah, if you're playing the free game, there's really nothing to do past level 50. I think what they really should do is open up more of the world, and sort of limit free players to about level 50 in most skills. Those of you who are familiar enough with the Runecrafting skill probably will understand my point: that skill gives free players a meaningful taste of it benefits, but to really develop it, you got to be on a pay server. If most of the skills were like that, it might be better.

I don't really like the pvping in that game. It's not fun when paying players can log on the free servers with stuff like dragon gear or other good stuff from the pay servers and gank free players. And pvp is almost always about cheap kills rather than skill there anyway, and there's really no point in the wilderness on the free game unless you want to do mad pking.

I do think RS really improved the combat system when they upgraded the game. Anyone remember the original game when only one person could melee a monster, but multiple players could use ranged or magic attacks on the same monster? Really really bad, because whoever inflicted the most damage would get all the experience and the first pick of loot. It sucked when you'd get pounded by giants or black knights or something and some **** with a bow would sit back and steal your kill. When they added the multicombat areas and gave players experience everytime they damaged a monster, rather than killing it, it improved things a lot IMO.

And the economy really really sucks ass in the game. Too many players overcharging for goods and messing up the whole system.

Sometimes I surf the internet or play Pokemon while playing RuneScape.

I used to play runescape ages ago, but found better free games to play and kinda left RS in the dust.
