Can you help me find a book?
There is a book I've been looking for. I heard it on tape as a child, and feel that it may be part of a series. I wish to ask for your help.
Here's what I remeber:
-Genre: Sci-fi
-There's a girl, Kristie or something like that, she's a alien girl who used to belong to some ruler-whose name begins with an "I" or I sound- and now she's stuck in some gladitorial games. Anyway, she ends up killing her combat teacher and is sent to a planet with high gravity. She then meets up with an old friend (Name's soemthign like Cornilian, I think).
-Meanwhile, her former owner, a princess who's about to lay eggs, is going through an ordeal. She'll have to trade eggs with a poor farmer as part of some ritual. But she could get out of it two ways: becoming the ruler (A title pronounced shree-kah) or laying her eggs early. She takes some drugs to lay her eggs early, but it fails.
-Kristie goes through one battle okay (Killing a guy who wants to die), but fails fighting against a bird-person. She's ends up being horrible wounded and sent to a lab as a test subject. And experiment makes her pregnant and she has three, strange kids: two sons and one daughter. The daughter's taken away, but Cornilain bust her out, getting his leg wounded in the process, and it ends with them about to travel over a mountain.
-As for the princess, there is an assassination attempt, but she lives. Her dad dies and her brother is up for the throne. But out of a lie saying her father chose her on his death bed, which is "confermed" by her servant, she becomes the ruler.
-I suspect that Kristie and Cornilian were cat people or something.
-The book most likely has the word "Alien" in the title.
