    Pavilion Yearbook Discussion

This year we're going to be printing the first ever RPG Maker Pavilion Yearbook. I'm going to start gathering things to include in it starting today. All pavilion members are free to contribute to this. Essays, art, articles, shout-outs, whatever. The only content not allowed is promotion of games made with RPG Maker. This is strictly going to be about the community and people here. If people want to reminisce about games from the past, that's okay. How much will the book cost? it depends on page count. I'm hoping to keep it within 10-15 dollars, and we'll be giving some copies away as well.

If you want to submit anything, send it to Pavilionyearbook@gmail.com

The current cut-off date is August 25th. After that, I start assembling stuff, and get the book ready for print. The cut-off date may be extended if I find it neccesary. but the book will be released this year.

    I'm also taking title suggestions.

If there's anything you want to know, or just want to talk about concerning this project, post it here. I want this thing to be put together by the community. Whatever features you want to go in it, that's what goes in it.

I might do some RPG Maker top tens, if that's ok.

That'd be good. I just don't want people sending in game reviews, or ads for their games.

I'll certainly have Kupid 2.0 done by August... and maybe DDR... Would some kind of article or technical analysis about Kupid 1, 2, and DDR count as self promotion? Or would that be acceptable?

Considering you've helped lead the charge in the jump in activity here this year, I planned on some mention. If you could write something that wouldnt be too technical to put people off, then I'd love to include it.

Technical things are my forte, but I'll try. :P

Maybe we could do interviews about some of the people on here? Also, there should be a page dedicated to certain events, memes and running jokes throughout the board. I'm no tech genius like Thutmose here (keep up the good work!!!), but I could contribute...

You already have a printer? I could possibly see if the company I work at could do it...not sure how expensive it would be...but it would be professionally done, soft cover and/or hardcover...I think they do have a minimum unfortunately.

I know most customers are charged about $3/book up to 500 pages, but Im not sure how much other costs would be.

This is going to be printed-on-demand. I'm not going to just do one run of these, and have that be it. I intend for these to always be available. so a traditional printer wouldnt work well for this.

While it would be cheaper for the customer if I did a bulk order up front and handled sales and distribution myself, it'd be too much of a hassle on my end, and require a big chunk of money up front. The way I intend to do this is just let people order it when they want, and it will be sent to them directly after that. They'll pay the production cost, nothing more. I don't want to profit off this. The paper quality is very good, full color, and it'll be stapled like a magazine.

I might consider finishing up my Pavilion portraits drawing.

Can I send in an autobiography? I'll probably get xCifer666x to make one too.

No. I don't think such a thing would interest anyone.
