      Re: Cifer: The Awakening

Just a short update, before we make Cifer (because the story has many nuances that need explanation in a seperate game), Cifer and I will release the prequel Alias before Cifer: The Awakening. Alias is originally an idea from my brother, captain falcon, that we bastardized and made as an explanation for the crazy events in The Awakening. Alias is about a scientist, Dr. Wolfenstein, and his two assistants, Sam Riley and Mason Shard. Dr. Wolfenstein is a lesser admin of CORE 4 years before the events of Cifer. He works on an antimatter experiment that goes horribly wrong, and everyone in the lab is mutated... More will be revealed...

The story of Alias begins 4 year before Cifer, before CORE's rise to power, before the scientific discovery of the Celestials and Divinities...

Here is what we have so far for the story:

Dr. Wolfenstein is the lead scientist of Cyan Research Facility, where he was told by the administrators of CORE to research an antimatter weapon. One day, Dr. Wolfenstein begins his experiment. His assistants, Sam Riley and Mason Shard(my creation), know that the antimatter machine is not quite ready, and may be quite dangerous. But, Dr. W. is a risk-taker, and orders Mason to run the machine. In a flash of bright light, everything is destroyed. When Sam wakes up, she finds herself transparent, finds Dr, Wolfenstein glowing a purplish hue, and finds Mason petrified in a red stone. Sam goes home to watch the late news, almost as nothing happened. The news states that there are was an explosion at the Cyan facility, and that were no survivors. Sam goes back to see if mason and Dr. Wolfenstein are ok. When she returns, she sees Mason alive, but doesn't see Dr. Wolfenstein. She finds a note saying that he is on the top floor of the Apex Building.

Here are all the games the me and Catastrophe will be working for a while and the name of the series is "CORE Crisis"(Catastrophe) or "CORE Chaos"(mine) we have not agreed:

Purity of a Demon Sword (just a story, not a game)
            Alias
            Cifer: the Awakening
            Cifer: Shade's Design
            Cifer: Theory of Everything
            Assassin's Code
            End of Days

we will let you decide on the series name on a poll it will be in the thread labeled "Forgotten Thought"

If it wasn't made clear already, the Cifer series and spinoffs are a collaborative with xCifer666x, as he is my personal friend, and as such, he has as much right to posting updates here as I do. And...we argue alot. About everything. And...that's about it for me right now.

CORE Crisis sounds a lot like Final Fantasy: Crisis Core :P

Thanks to Triggerhound, the official series name will be called CORE Chaos. Thank you, everyone, for not voting
This project is still going on, but we really haven't had any good ideas, lately. Writer's block sucks...

                        Re: Cifer: The Awakening

I'm really starting to have my doubts about this game project. xCifer666x and I keep thinking of ideas, all very good ones, that really don't fit into RM3, and I'm fail at RM2... We may ditch this project, because a certain someone CAN'T DROP OFF THE GODDAMN RM3 DISC OR FIND HIS FRIGGIN' PS2 POWERCABLE!!! Auggggggghhhh... This project may or may not be completed ever, just saying. The written story thing (unfinished on here), is a stupid homework project that won a fiction writing award at my school (it beat out my friend's story about a pedophile.) So, this may end up as a story, a game, or a webcomic. Sorry, pplz.

Well, I'm here to say that this won't be a game for a long time. It'll be a webcomic on DeviantArt. So, if anyone's still interested, I'll be posting on my deviantArt group #CORECHAOS at http://corechaos.deviantart.com/, and my page at http://drake-pente.deviantart.com/. So, thank you for all your help, and constructive criticism, but my work here on the RPG Maker General forum is done.
