At 17 years old, Mara is the youngest of the three psyonics that make up Aquila Squad A. Raised in an orphanage in Hargen, Mara knows little about her lineage or her parents. Thus, with no-one to cling to for family, Mara has always gone through life forming intensely close bonds and friendships with those close to her. This close-knit social group was futher reinforced when her psyonic abilities began to show through, ostricizing her from most in the orphanage. Mara is friendly, nurturing, and all around, a pleasent character with few personality flaws...
...although she is one of the more naive characters in the game. She is somewhat obsessed with the aesthetic beauty of nature - not because she has seen it first hand and fallen in love with it, but because in her seventeen years, not once has she been outside the tremendous industrial megacomplex city that is Hargen.
With the advent of the Aquila Squad, Troy offered Mara the chance to travel in the service of the federation (travelling in and out of Hargen is usually very expensive, and not only requires government passes, but also gang permission and coverage: the inner city of hargen is dominated by gangs that constantly war over their turf.)
Caring more for the adventure than for the benefit of the Federation, Mara entered herself into anti-terrorist service via Aquila.
