    Horror games

I know with RPG Maker 1, creating a game can be a limited process, but it seems one of the most weakest areas of the software is trying to make a game that AT THE LEAST makes you a bit uneasy.

so, my question, has anyone here ever been disturbed by a game made with RPG Maker 1? Besides Legend and Edward's Quest? has a game made with horror in mind ever been effective to you?

The one that comes to my mind is Mencara Revelle. It's just a demo, but it was pretty spooky to me.

I'd just like to come to this old thread to say...

Mencara Revelle, in the form it took as an RPGM game, was made when I was a Silent Hill nut. You can tell.

While a full game may not ever be released, it IS complete as a novel. Assuming I ever get it published.

Of course, it really isn't anything like the game anymore. Still recognizable though.

Not enough unique tricks with RM1, can't really do much with lighting or sound effects.

Eh, I was surprised with The Inn. As far as RPGM1 can go in this department I have seen.

I was terrified by that scene in Gobli's Adventure when Mark appeared.

The bit with the screeching monkey was odd, too.
