Is there anyway to make a cute scene like in Gobli's adventure where the four heroes beat up the goblins in the woods? Would I just need to place the main party at the very bottom of the map and then create an event that would somehow trigger them to move up to the top of the screen and fight off monsters? Has anyone done this before with some success?

Re: Intro scenes like in Gobli's adventure
we have and more.
you need to get creative. use events to activate the sequence and move the party to where you want them to be. then have an event trigger where the selected party member is and have it turn into the same member its representing. then change the party member to a no graphic or remove him from the party (whatever works for your case) then you can move the event to where you want it and its the character moving on its own.
here is a video to show you an example of this. check around 15:20 for the effect.
you can do so much with this but you really need to learn how each element works on its own before you can combine them together into something larger.

Um... RPGM1 actually HAS a camera movement function, you know. :P"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

Thanks for the tips
I'm not a professional coder yet, I'm still new at RPGM1 and I haven't learned how to use the camera movement function yet.Originally posted by Erika View PostUm... RPGM1 actually HAS a camera movement function, you know. :P

what erika is talking about is the shift screen command. this allows you to pan the camera in a direction while the party remains where it is. make sure you place it back to default else it will stay offset until you do.
keep at it, you will get to know the system with practice.

My post was more directed at Karr than yourself. The advice he was giving sounded like it was meant for RPGM2, as that one doesn't have a camera-panning function and thus makes the trick he described necessary.Originally posted by Blix View PostI'm not a professional coder yet, I'm still new at RPGM1 and I haven't learned how to use the camera movement function yet."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Re: Intro scenes like in Gobli's adventure
Okay thanks guys! I'm gonna mess around with that and see what I can come up with, I've pretty much wrapped up my Chaos Planet 1 RPG - I've connected the dots from the intro all the way to after the ending (there's more to do after you beat the final boss) so hopefully I can use the command to make some better scenes
