I'm definitely getting RPGM2 when I get the money. It's ten times better than 3 in a lot of ways. I'm sold! =)

That video only scratches the surface.

Though RPGM2 isn't without it's own limitations. The draw distance is terrible, and only so many buildings can be placed on a map before it won't let you place any more.

2 does look like it has way more options, but it would be hard to adjust to those little Animal Crossing characters. I'm new to the series, so 3 is great for me, but I'm sure I would like more customization once I get the hang of it.

It'll be hard for newcomers to get off 3 since it gives them satisfaction for little effort. 2 requries a lot more dedication, but it's well worth it with all the options. We need more videos showing off what RPG Maker 2 can really do though.

Those are really good. I wish stuff like that could be done on RPGM3. *sighs* I can't wait until I get some money for 2!

I didn't understand it. No habla in japanese. However I did notice that the title turned from Japanese to English on the very last part. I already have it and yes it is awsome. Much better than 3 because it isn't nearly as limited. I suggest you should have both 2 and 3.

I can make custom mpg files from games.

I have even offered to do so for people here and at Doan's.

I am insanely busy lately and this is limited to weekends, but it is not that difficult.

I can renew some of the temporary links I have posted before, but mpg files take lots of bandwidth and the free sites I set up for this purpose can't handle it.

I'll try to update and renew some Videogamedrome examples unless I get some better suggestions.

RPGM2 is certainly more flexible that any of the other console makers, and the difficulty learning is easily offset by the availability of help here and elsewhere!

RPG Maker 2 is vastly different. anything you can imagine can be done, RPG or not. it's a lot more complex than 3. if you're having trouble with 3, 2 would drive you to suicide.
