Re: Requesting assistance
Well, thats kinda wierd...cause jev did it...and it worked for him.
So either you're trying to do something different...or your not putting in the order of operations correctly.
Now let me get this straight you want an event that happens only once? Correct?
My guess is that you put a conditional variable on the first mode when I specifically said you were only suppose to put a conditional variable on the 2nd mode.
because an whenever you enter an area it loads the event. and since there isn't any conditional variable and you haven't had the event get to display off or modify mode yet until after the storyteller is played and in your case it would be after one character joined your party and another left...
everything should work...go back and check it.

Re: Requesting assistance
The only situation I ever ran into where display off didn't work was a touch event. In which I had a battle...
I ended up having to put refresh display after display off. Furthered by event ending so it wouldn't continually go in to battle after the event is touched...
If you go through everything...and it's all there...and it still doesn't work I want to say you messed up somewhere...
But if you would like to put refresh display after display off and event ending after refresh display then go ahead by all means.
If your in a house when this event is going off...what I said earlier should work...but I suppose...if you were in a town...you might have to use refresh display...
I know the booklet says after display off is pushed no further event will take place for that code...but my experience is a little different. Refresh display still works...Last edited by Aminveloscasin; 11-20-2005, 02:25 PM.
