Time of Day and Field Linking?

Well, I just got the game two days ago and I love it. Even if there are these limitations, I'm getting along great with them! Thanks for everyone's help on my last thread.

So, inspite of my lack of knowledge for the game, I just have a couple of questions:

    1. Is there a way to switch times of days in a town, like say, have it morning, and than evening for one part of the story, and then change it back to morning for the rest of the game?

    2. Also, would it be wise to do separate fields for every region in my world map, or should I have them all in one single map? I found when putting them all in one map, the land was obviously smaller and you could easily see the next island over. So, if I had seperate field maps for each region, how would I be able to link the fields with the "main" field? I hope that makes sense.

Hopefully I'll soon know the answers to most things in this game so I don't have to keep asking questions.

    1. To change time of day use Control >> Modify Time
    08:00 - Morning
    12:00 - Noon
    17:00 - Evening
    21:00 - Night

    2. To link fields you have to make bottlenecks (areas where the player can only walk through a small path) and put invisible events that warp them to the next filed. Just like the warp events in RPGM1, if you played that.

Awesome, that helps, thanks! Do you think I should make a field per region or combine them all on one map? Becuase I heard that fields take up quite some memory, and if I'm planning on creating 5 or 6...

Don't worry about making separate fields. They take up a larger chunk of memory compared to everything else, but it's still a small amount compared to how much memory you're allowed.
