    Welcome to the pavilion!

Yes...that bug annoys me, as well. I stopped using item descriptions altogether in my RM3 games for that very reason...VERY annoying. The user here named Pagerron did some looking into that, to try and determine some rhyme or reason to it. On thing we did determine though...I'm pretty sure...was that it wasn't determined by the number of characters/spaces. I'm going to see if I can track that info down, or I can message him and ask if he remembers where that thread is.

Oh, and I just realized that this thread is in the submissions forum, so I will move it.

It helps if you keep descriptions short, sweet, and to the point. A healing potion in one of my game projects would have the description: Restores 500 Hp.

I see your point, but that's no fun at all.

Well, there's no need for something like this:

"A magical elixer made from elven grass and spring water. Retores one's health by 500 points."

"You're dead if you aim only for kids. Adults are only kids grown up, anyway."

No, but there IS a need for something like this...at least in my games:

"A magic elixir made of secret ingredients. NO we won't tell you what they are, IT'S A SECRET."

If you really use your imagination and have fun with it, it's more enjoyable to make AND to play, IMO.

I always thought that it was an oversight by design, like only a the first few lines would show up and the rest would be unseen. This is something that always let me down with RPGM3. I like being able to add a whole paragraph to describe an item if I want to.
                ------------
Guan Yu: "Is your lord Cao Cao still alive?"

Xiahou Dun: "He says he can't die until you do!"
                ------------

Right! Or at least have the limit set accurately, so that I can know the limits, or else I"ll never be able to work within those limitations.

You know what I always found useless?

The descriptions of classes, people, places, etc.
