Depending on how complex your system will be, it might take a big chunk of the memory leaving little for the other aspects of the game.

If I'm getting him right, I don't think what he's looking for will take up considerable chunks of space. Unless you get overly convoluted with complex scripting, you should be fine.

Plus, I did something like this as a sidequest in a game of mine, I had 40 different Hunt Missions in which you had to do various tasks including killing a strong monster, collecting something, etc. and I fit it into an actual game of mine.

TL;DR: You'll be fine.
