      Re: My Game!

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a little wile! The game just came! (W00T!) I have a question: How do I make the red box that I can explore in bigger? In the Field Editor, even if I make a big map I can only explore part of it............. What do I do?

Nothing. Unfortunately you cannot get rid of/modify the red square.

The Field Maps are HUGE, anyway. The "red square" limit can be a little annoying if you made your map without expecting it (like I did my first few tries), but once you learn to build it so that the player never needs to go outside of it, you still have a LOT of room to work with.

          Enjoy using the Maker!

How Badly Do You Want It? (VX Ace) is now available for download! - no outside software necessary.

Probably so the player doesn't come to the cliff at the edge of the world.

I guess so. It still doesn't make any sense to me. The box takes up a lot of space on the map.

My guess is that they are their so they don't reach the edge and see a 2d horizon up close, and so the creator can build their own horizon.

Personally I think its a good idea, but the red square could be alittle smaller.

                    Re: My Game!

I have actually started work on the game now! Does anyone else have a problem Logging In? When I Log In it says: "Thank you for logging in Lord Cohliani!" and then takes me back to the Log In screen with me NOT Logged In! What do I do?

I was also wondering how to MAKE a Variable. I know how they work and what they do and what to use them for but I cant figure out how to make one.......... Can anyone help me with these problems?

I have had the same problem logging in before (Not often). Report any problems you have to TECH SUPPORT.

As for the variables, you can read multiple threads about them in the workshop. Or just start a new thread in the workshop.

EDIT: My 1000th post. I don't know how to feel.

                        Grats on your 1000th post!

How do I make the water level higher? The water level is soooo low! I want to actually have a beach! Not a cliff with water 100 feet below! So how do I adjust the water level?

                          Re: My Game!

When making a map. how do I tell where the unwalkable margin begins?

While making the map, go into V-mode and press square. Then return to G-mode, and you can tell where it ends.
Pretty much made my life 1000x time easier when making maps in RPGM3 when I figured this out.

There's a setting called "elevation" in the field settings. What it does is raise the level of the background, and oddly enough the water level too, which seems... wrong, considering sea level is fixed and would go down instead.... But just set it higher and the water level will rise.

But when I set it to high I can't walk ANYWHERE all of it is red.................

Either lower your elevation (I think the number is like 80 or somthing for normal water level)

Or you can set the water level to high and raise the elevation.
