I dunno, the first one isn't really too difficult.
"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."
If you aren't, try it again by starting a new game. Sometimes game save data and actual game data don't quite match up.
Ok.... what? ... I resume from the data saved ....Just wondering but ... why whould I start a new game each time?...Do I need to restart over from scratch? Please don't tell me that cause we've already spent many hours on his game.

NO, you shouldn't be having this problem at all, in fact...
Here are some things that may solve your problem:
-Did you maybe make more than one character and name them both the same thing?
-Are you in an actual battle or are you just creating/testing magic?
-Did you manually make his character part of your party?
-Have you couble checked to make sure that his models have NOT been somehow made to look alike?
...aside from these few sugestions on things to check, my only other reccomendation would be to start over and eat the time lost so that you can begin at the ...begining again. You may even be able to just delete all the characters (and maybe classes too) and do it over and resolve your problem that way. I still think that this should be you last ditch effort, however, as if your problem was caused by something "simple" totally eradicating all of the data to solve it would be like using an H-Bomb to swat a fly...

No, I think what Obright means is that when you playtest that battle, playtest it from the beginning of the game instead from the place where you last saved when playtesting.
-Select playtest
-Select Start (not Continue)
-Then just move the character to wherever that battle is and test it out.
Ok, I've tried all your suggestions and nothing is working. I can't equip any weapons to him. Could that be the problem? If so, why can't I equip weapons and how can I? Everytime I try ... I click on sword to equip one but NONE is my only option to equip. It's like that on all of my characters. I'm going out of my mind... someone please help! I wish I had more time, but I have three children, going to college, work, and have to maintain my home. I would really hate to get rid of this game just because of a minor glitch.
When you create the weapon (the sword) you select who can equip it.
And, chill, man. You will find the software quite easy if you just relax and take your time with it. If you go too quick and on edge it is easy to miss tiny steps such as this.
My kind of life’s no better off
If I’ve got the map or if I’m lost.
Can you tell us what you did step by step from creating that person and him not working? Can you include the players stats(STR, DEF, AGI, etc...) and anything else on all of the pages...and all of the class data for "Gladiator"? I know I'm asking a lot but the problem has to be on one of those pages, if its not, then we know its something with the game setup
also to to "Game Settings"
scroll over and make sure the main character is up front(over the arrow) and he is set as the "Active" player
Here I come Pav, like the Kool-Aid man barging into a funeral! Oh yeah!
Are you resuming from a game save, or are you beginning a new game each time?

NO, I mean when you playtest...do you choose 'resume game', or do you say 'begin game'? If you choose the latter, you can use the dubug menu (just press 'start') to place yourself right where you should be, and even alter your levels to match where they should be. The reason why I suggested this is because you said the character was behaving fine in battles until you edited him/her. Sometimes game PLAY save data and actual game save data don't jibe in unexpected ways. I've seen this happen in events, locked doors, etc. If you begin a new PLAYTEST game and test it this way, if it works, then just disregard the fact that it didn't work in that gameplay save...it won't matter.
[EDIT] Ok wait...that wasn't the problem. You might need to:
1) edit the weapon in question
2) add the player to the list of equip-able characters
(if you don't have any characters of a class that CAN equip it, then nobody will show up to add)
That still shouldn't bypass a player's turn in battle...they'll just have a stick instead of a true weapon.
Oh well, we will work through this! I know it's frustrating, but remember it's that way for us, as well...we want to help, but since we are not right there with you, it's hard to tell you what you should do...we don't know what you already have done. But be patient with us, and we'll do the same. Like I said...it can be figured out.
I still maintain that the character isn't a member of the party. Not having a weapon wouldn't prohibit taking place in battle (like you said, Ob) whereas not being present for a battle would.
Another idea might be checking to make sure that your gladiator has a decent ammount of agility (AGI) because if he has none (for example) and everybody elsse has 10 per level, yeah, he'll stand there... and watch everyone else fight while death happens around him and the battle is over before he even got up to the plate... that's what happened to me the first time...
-Uh, I wonder if rachaut24rpgmaker3 ever solved this problem or not... Its been a good week or 2 since we hear from her...
