    cbs help

    hi im new here but ive been reading the stuff forever! any way ive been working on a cbs that a call a tactical dueling system. its pretty simple, but i need help
    basically you and an other guy are on opposite ends of a dungeon you get a multiple choice question to go left right forward backward attack or defend
    i already did that part i also made the enemy always come towards you at his turn but i need to know how to make the enemy attack once he comes in contact with you and how to make it so the game knows when your attack does damage or not. Any ideas

    Well what is your knowledge with mathematical distance formulas? If it's not much I'd try with something a touch more simpler.

      As far as for them goes, I say make a check for the enemy to see how far away the player is. Event x - player x, or event y - player y (or both!) and then that finds the distance (of course if it's negative you gotta multiply it by -1 so you don't have negative distance). Then, if the distance is 1, the event know it's right in front of you! Now all you need is the conditions of it distance is 1, attack. And if distance is not 1, walk! Hope this helps!
