    Hydlide should remain sucky!

This is just me, but maybe making a acbs game isn't a good idea...
sorry guys, but I'm gonna pull the plug on Hydlide.
But have know fear! I am gonna make a remake of a classic GBA game
called Dungeons and Dragons:Eye of the Beholder! However it'll have certain similarities to both the video game and the board game.
I would know about the board game, because I have the v. 3.5 players
handbook. So if you want to ask questions about it or make comments
    please do so.
Addam Sessler & Morgan Webb should be sent to the Abyss for hating dungeon crawlers. It's thanks to
dungeon crawlers that we have RPGs.

      It was ported, baby.

Man I loved Hydlide. It had all the excitment of pressing the cross pad against a slime in the hopes it's HP bar emptied before your own. Thrilling!
Oh my god! You are so beautiful.
I had no idea how beautiful you were.

I knew it was ported, but describing it as a "classic gba game" and D&D as a board game shows... a lack of knowledge about that which you intend to make. XD

You all ever hear of Virtual Hydlyde for the Sega Saturn?

It was fun, but frustrating. But hey, it took Hydlyde to a whole new level.

O.K. I might have over exaggerated about DND:EOTB(and Hydlide)but can a remake of DND:EOTB be done?

OH. MY. GOD. ....you played that? I actually loved that game. It gets a lot of flack for its graphics, but it was the first 3D RPG on any console. 5 years from now it will be what atari was about 5 years ago...cool and retro...but right now all anybody can see is that it doesn't look like FF7.

For me, the best thing about Virtual Hydlide was the 'create world' function, where the world map was created via an algorithm derived from a 10 digit code...with 40 billion different worlds possible, or something insane like that.

THIS THREAD IS FREAKING ME OUT......I was also going to attempt to make a game based on Hydlide. I never in a million years expected anybody else to. I also changed my mind about making it!

Super Hydlide for SEGA Genesis was...just awful (gotta love a completely unbeatable final boss), but there were some things I liked about it, like the day/night cycle. It's a shame they didn't put that into the Saturn version.

I never played the NES version.

PLAYED it? I OWN it! Bought it off Ebay for five dollars.

Yeah, I agree. The game is a classic.

EotB is okay, but I've played real DnD and ToEE (Temple of Elemental Evil) is the only acceptable substitution for me now.
I'd play a remake-hell, I'd advise you on DnD rules if you need it.
